An iTunes gift card (usually labeled as an App Store & iTunes card) is pre-purchased credit for Apple’s various digital services. This includes the iTunes Store—Apple’s media and software marketplace where you can buy music, movies, apps, and more. You can also use iTunes gift cards to subscribe to Apple Music and other Apple services.

Be aware that iTunes gift cards are different than Apple Store gift cards. Apple Store gift cards let you purchase physical Apple products, like an iPhone or MacBook, at Apple’s physical or online stores.

iTunes gift cards are available as physical cards, as well as digital codes delivered via email. The gift card doesn’t expire, and once the credit is applied to your account, it won’t expire either.

You can only redeem your card in the same iTunes Store from which it was purchased. Thus, a US gift card is only good in the US App Store.

iTunes Gift Card code is redeemable for apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, and more on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and the Mac App Store. Recipients can access their content on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod, and watch or listen on a computer – Mac or PC.

How to redeem iTunes Gift Card

Using iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

• Open the app store app
• Tap “Redeem Gift Card or Code”.
• At the bottom of the screen, tap Today.
• At the top of the screen, tap the sign-in button or your photo.
• Tap “Redeem Gift Card or Code”. If you don’t see “Redeem Gift Card or Code”, sign in with your Apple ID. Learn what to do if you forget your Apple ID.
• Tap “Use Camera” and follow the instructions on the screen. If you have an older card or you’re in certain countries or regions, you might not be able to redeem a card with your camera. Tap “You can also enter your code manually”, then, follow the instructions on the screen.
• If you have an App Store & iTunes Gift Card, enter the 16-digit code, which starts with X, from the back of the card.
• If you have a promo or content code, enter the code from the back of the card.
• Tap Done.

Using a PC

• If you’re using a PC, redeem your gift card in iTunes. From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account, then choose Redeem, then sign in and follow the instructions on the screen.
